ABOUT MONO WORKS
Mono Works is a one-person workshop making straightforward, durable clothing in Brighton.
Everything is cut and sewn by me, in-house, using industrial machines.
The aim is simple: make clothes that hold up, and make them in small enough numbers that the quality stays where it should be.
The focus is on:
- Selvedge jeans – small runs and made-to-order pairs
- Workwear jackets and overshirts
- Double-front and heavier-duty pieces
- Smaller items like tool rolls and tees
Most of the denim is selvedge from Japanese mills. Construction is old-fashioned on purpose: chainstitched, reinforced seams, proper pocket bags, solid buttons, bar tacks where they need to be.
I work on small batches and made-to-order pieces.
Mono Works is for people who:
Expect their jeans to take a beating
Don’t mind a break-in period
Prefer repairs over replacements
Care more about how something is made than what the label says
